Khandallah Park

Khandallah Park is the unofficial home of Muddy Toes and we have sessions here more often than anywhere else. It's no coincidence that it has literally everything that you need for the most magical morning out. The stream trickles gently through the park, shallow enough to paddle and to adventure upstream if you're feeling brave! Look closely and you'll find koura in the stream and the birdlife is next level - think colourful kereru, friendly piwakawaka, chattering tui and groups of kaka flying overhead.

There are heaps of tracks around the park, leading to the summit of Mt Kaukau if you're looking for an easy(ish) hike! For our sessions we stay mostly on the flat, exploring some of the bushland that borders wide green, open spaces as well as checking out the fun playground which has something for everyone.

How to find us

Park at the swimming pool on Woodmancote Rd and walk along the track that runs alongside the pool into the park. Take a right over the stream as you reach the playground and continue along the track - you'll find us set up on the lawn across from the stream.
